About Blister Paper Card Heat Seal Backing

Blister paper cards are printed SBS or kraft backing boards coated with heat-seal lacquer that bonds to PVC/PET blisters. They provide the graphic, tamper-evident and theft-deterrent backbone of carded retail packaging. CECLE supplies 1 blister paper card product.

How to Choose

  • Choose cardstock: recycled kraft for eco, CCNB clay-coated for value, or SBS virgin bleached for stiffness and print quality.
  • Select seal coating: heat-seal lacquer (bonds to PVC/PET under heat+pressure) or cold-seal for no-heat lines.
  • Match basis weight to product weight and pegboard use—300–350 gsm light, 350–400 gsm standard, 450 gsm heavy/high-value.
  • Plan print and finish: CMYK, spot UV, foil, emboss and die-cut shapes for branding and tamper/tear features.
  • Ensure coating bonds to your blister film (PVC/PET/RPET) and flatness to feed automated sealers without jamming.

FAQ

Q: What makes a blister card seal to plastic?
A: The card is coated with a heat-seal (or cold-seal) lacquer that melts under heat and pressure to bond with PVC/PET blisters, creating a tamper-evident pack.

Q: SBS or kraft blister cardstock?
A: SBS virgin bleached board gives best stiffness, print and moisture resistance for automated lines; kraft/recycled is the eco choice but less rigid.

Q: Can CECLE supply custom-printed blister cards?
A: Yes—CECLE can source or supply custom sizes, grammage, heat-seal coating and printed graphics; share your blister size and design for a quote.
