About PU Conveyor Belt for Packaging Machines

Conveyor belts are the moving surface that carries products through packaging, food and manufacturing lines. PU and PVC belts offer food-grade, oil-resistant and abrasion-resistant transport in widths from 100 mm to 3000+ mm. CECLE supplies 1 belt product.

How to Choose

  • Select belt material by product: PVC for general/dry use, PU for food-grade and oily lines, silicone for high-heat applications.
  • Pick surface profile—smooth for flat items, textured/embossed for grip, rough-top for inclined or slippery conveying.
  • Match ply count and thickness to load: 1-ply for light/bakery use, 2-ply for general duty, 3+ ply for heavy or high-impact lines.
  • Confirm width, length and food-safety certification (FDA/USDA, EU) and whether guide rails, cleats or sidewalls are needed.
  • Check chemical/oil resistance and operating temperature (PU typically -20 to 80°C) against your process conditions.

FAQ

Q: PU or PVC conveyor belt for food lines?
A: PU is preferred where the belt touches food directly—it is oil-resistant, FDA/USDA food-grade and lasts longer; PVC suits dry, non-oily packaging and is cheaper.

Q: How do I stop belt slipping on an incline?
A: Use a rough-top or textured PU surface with proper tension; cleats or sidewalls can be added for steep angles and loose products.

Q: What width and ply do I need?
A: Width is driven by product and line layout (100–3000 mm available); 1-ply suits light bakery use while 2–3 ply handles heavier loads—tell CECLE your product for a match.
